Volvo to bring Self-Driving Car In 5 Years
Volvo is planning to sell a self-driving vehicle to consumers in five years. Volvo’s CEO Hakan Samuelsson said that the company is looking to release self-driving cars into the market by 2021. These self driving cars will have autopilot feature, which will add about $10,000 to the cost.
These vehicles will be tested on public roads inLondon and China in 2018 and in Sweden next year. These vehicles are being designed in such a way so that passengers can relax on their place and without any supervision from them vehicle will take them to their intended destination.
Volvo will also open a research and engineering center in Silicon Valley, with 70 engineers.
Volvo has decided not to be part of the upcoming Paris Motor Show, instead it’ll plan it’s own media shows to unveil new features of the vehicle.
